El body pump es una clase coreografiada en la que se repiten una serie de movimientos durante unos 45-55 minutos con una música seleccionada para tal fin.

Siempre mantiene una misma estructura, pero el ritmo y el tipo de trabajo van variando en las distintas sesiones. Se trabaja con pesos libres, usando barras y discos y se entrenan todos los grupos musculares del cuerpo. Normalmente se hace a través de diez canciones de música y la clase se divide en tres grandes bloques: calentamiento, trabajo muscular y estiramiento.

What to know for your first Body Attack class

The Body Attack is all about sports-inspired moves. Because there is the option to do a lot of running and jumping, cross-training sneakers with padding are ideal. You may feel most comfortable in shorts and a dry-fit shirt that provides plenty of wicking for sweat.

Body Attack is aerobics, sports and strength combined, incorporating your entire body. If you’re just starting out, you’ll be given low-impact options that’ll tailor each workout to your fitness level.
